When not teaching or traveling to Spain, I like to race on foot or on
bike. Summers find me in the garden, on the bike, or at the lake! We live on a gravel road in an 1890s-era
farmhouse a few miles north of Ankeny.
My oldest child, a K-State graduate, teaches preschool in Hiawatha, Kansas. She and her husband
live next door to my parents. My older son works construction, chases K-State sports, and lives in a
cabin on a pond. Another son attends middle school in Ankeny and enjoys playing sports, playing piano, and
reading books.
