Welcome back from Spring Break. We depart in 66 days! Wow! It's finally time for you to
start to make your planning and departure a priority.
1. We will meet at 7 pm, Sunday, April 15, at Northview. In about 90 minutes, we will help you prepare to
pack and depart. Come with plenty of questions!
2. Please bring a copy of your passport vital statistics (picture page) and a copy of your medical
insurance card. I will make additional copies for the sponsors so that we may expedite any emergency on tour.
3. If you have not yet ordered your passport, your participation in our tour may be in jeopardy. My
sister reports that her boyfriend does not yet have the passport that he ordered ten weeks ago. We leave in about ten
weeks.
4. EF may have called you to check the name on your passport and to sell you optional excursions. Remember,
we will not be selecting any of the optional excursions.
5. As usual, we must fly a split itinerary out of Des Moines simply because there is not a block
of 36 seats in or out of Des Moines. After considerable thought and lengthy discussions with all sponsors and
three students, I made the following split. In other words, for about 2% of our tour, you will be forced to fly in the
same jet as those on your list. I won't release the itinerary until it is 100% confirmed (EF claims that it is 99% confirmed).
As always, the students will determine the rooming list, which may change each time we switch hotels simply due to room configuration
(doubles, triples, or quadruples). Here's the split for some of the flights:
