We depart in 16 days! !Orale y hijole!
1. When we arrive in Spain, we will travel with a group of 15 from Basehor-Linwood
High School in Kansas. I always enjoy meeting other Americans while in Spain.
2. The passport holders have arrived! The tickets have arrived! The backpacks have arrived!
3. The long-sleeved burgundy shirts have been ordered! It will be the only long-sleeve item that you will
need for the trip.
4. The candy has sold! Therefore, I will have enough dollars to buy ten Euros for each of you that we
will pass out at the Wednesday, 5/23 meeting. You will then have Euros (about $13) to spend immediately upon arriving
in Madrid.
5. As described in the original info packet, there is a REFUNDABLE curfew fine. Please bring $20
to the meeting. Those who violate the curfew will lose the $20 and be required to give $40 as the next REFUNDABLE curfew
fine.
6. As described in the original info packet, EF suggests a $3-4 daily gratuity/tip for the tour director and $1-2
for the bus driver. The maximum, then, would be about $50. We won't pay quite that much. We will use your
$20 refundable curfew deposit as the gratuity/tip at the end of the tour, and I'll ask for another $10 or so at the end of
the tour.
7. As described in the original info packet, we MAY have the opportunity to attend a bullfight ($25) and/or a flamenco
performance ($25).
8. Jordyn has decided to not participate in the tour due to family commitments. Please let Jordyn know that
we will miss her.
9. We'll meet Wednesday, 5/23/07, at 7 p.m. at Northview. See attached agenda.
Keep in contact, Jim/Senor Robidoux
